Freedom Translator ("the extension", "we", "us") is a browser extension that translates selected text between Kazakh, Russian and English, with optional text-to-speech and the ability to suggest corrections. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the service.
a) Account information (via Google Sign-In). When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, name, and profile picture, plus a Google account identifier. We use this only to create your account, sign you in, and enforce per-account limits.
b) Usage counts. We store a daily count of how many translations your account has made, to enforce the free daily limit. We do not store the content of those translations.
c) Text you translate or have spoken. Selected text is sent to our backend and to our translation/speech provider to produce the result. We do not store this text — it is processed to return the translation or audio and is not retained by us.
d) Corrections you choose to submit. If you use the correction feature, we store the original text, the machine translation, and your corrected version (with the language pair and a timestamp), linked to your account. This is voluntary and is used to improve translation quality.
e) Preferences. Your interface and translation language choices are stored in your browser and on your account.
We do not collect browsing history, the content of pages you visit, keystrokes, location, or any data from pages other than the text you explicitly select to translate.
To authenticate you and maintain your account; provide translations and text-to-speech; enforce the daily limit; and improve translation quality using submitted corrections. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Google — for sign-in (OAuth), per Google's Privacy Policy. FreedomSpeech (freedomspeech.kz) — our translation and text-to-speech provider; the text you translate or have spoken is sent there to generate the result. We share only what is necessary and with no other third parties.
Account data and submitted corrections are stored on our backend (a Postgres database) for as long as your account exists. Translated text is not stored by us. Usage counts are kept to operate the limit and may be cleared over time.
Sign out or remove the extension at any time. To delete your account and data, email bekdauletarynbek@gmail.com and we will delete your account, preferences, usage counts, and submitted corrections. The correction feature is optional — if you never save a correction, no translated text is stored. Depending on your country, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability).
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, scoped access tokens). No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
The extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Freedom Translator («расширение», «мы») — браузерное расширение для перевода выделенного текста между казахским, русским и английским языками, с озвучкой и возможностью предлагать исправления. Здесь описано, какие данные мы собираем, зачем и какие у вас есть права. Мы собираем минимум, необходимый для работы сервиса.
а) Данные аккаунта (через вход Google). При входе через Google мы получаем и храним ваш email, имя и аватар, а также идентификатор аккаунта Google. Используем только для создания аккаунта, входа и применения лимитов.
б) Счётчик использования. Храним дневное число переводов аккаунта, чтобы применять бесплатный дневной лимит. Содержимое переводов не храним.
в) Текст, который вы переводите или озвучиваете. Выделенный текст отправляется на наш сервер и провайдеру перевода/синтеза речи. Мы не храним этот текст — он обрабатывается для возврата результата и нами не сохраняется.
г) Исправления (добровольно). При использовании функции исправления мы сохраняем исходный текст, машинный перевод и вашу исправленную версию (с языковой парой и меткой времени), привязанные к аккаунту. Это добровольно и используется для улучшения качества перевода.
д) Настройки. Выбор языка интерфейса и языков перевода хранится в браузере и в аккаунте.
Мы не собираем историю просмотров, содержимое страниц, нажатия клавиш, геолокацию или данные со страниц, кроме текста, который вы сами выделили.
Аутентификация и ведение аккаунта; предоставление перевода и озвучки; применение дневного лимита; улучшение качества перевода на основе исправлений. Мы не продаём данные и не используем их для рекламы.
Google — для входа (OAuth), согласно политике Google. FreedomSpeech (freedomspeech.kz) — провайдер перевода и синтеза речи; текст, который вы переводите или озвучиваете, отправляется туда. Передаём только необходимое и никому больше.
Данные аккаунта и исправления хранятся на нашем бэкенде (Postgres), пока существует аккаунт. Переводимый текст не храним. Счётчики использования хранятся для работы лимита и могут периодически очищаться.
Выйдите из аккаунта или удалите расширение в любой момент. Для удаления аккаунта и данных напишите на bekdauletarynbek@gmail.com — мы удалим аккаунт, настройки, счётчики и исправления. Функция исправления необязательна. В зависимости от страны у вас могут быть дополнительные права.
Применяем стандартные меры (шифрованные соединения, ограниченные токены). Ни один способ не защищён на 100%, но мы принимаем разумные меры защиты.
Расширение не предназначено для детей младше 13 лет (или минимального возраста в вашей стране). Мы сознательно не собираем данные детей.
Мы можем обновлять политику и изменим дату «Последнее обновление» выше. Продолжение использования означает согласие.
